Log a Load for Kids is
America 's renewable
resource creating miracles for our most precious resource. It is a fund
raising opportunity for loggers and other forestry indu
stry personnel in conjunction with forestry organizations
and associations to raise money for local
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Started in
South Carolina in 1988, Log A Load for Kids has grown to include 24 states. In 1997, Log A
Load raised more than $2 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,
making it CMN’s fastest
growing national donor and the seventh largest contributor. 1998 goals
include the participation by 27 states and contributions totaling more
than $2.5 million. 100% of the money raised remains with the local participating
Children’s Miracle Network hospital or the hospital of the donor’s choosing.
The Oklahoma Forestry
Association is a proud sponsor of
Log A Load for Kids. Each
year the OFA raises money through a silent action at the members’ annual
meeting and through auctioning off timber donated by its members.
